Season premiere of Bones is on tonight and considering I devoured the first two seasons in about a week... I'm actually really torn about watching it. I really, really disliked the season three finale.

Oh well, we all know that no matter how bad it gets, I'm going to watch it for Hodgins. ♥

I'm back from Montreal!

Am very sleep deprived, but my cousin's wedding was excellent.

For those of you who don't play WoW, this is the birth of Entropius. He's the second half of M'uru, the hardest boss fight in any video game EVER. Sure, you can tell me of other really difficult boss fights, but those only require one person to be perfect. M'uru requires 25 people to be perfect, and after four weeks of attempts, I'm really excited that we got the first part of the fight down. :)

I gave up on the Saigon scarf (rav link). Not because there was anything wrong with the pattern per se, but I do feel that the photo was a little misleading. The scarf was photographed on a child (how did I miss that?) and so it looked about twice as wide as it actually worked out to be. I guess if I had read the dimensions, I would have realized that right away, but I didn't. So, I frogged it, and started over with a new pattern from a knitting lace book I purchased.

The pattern is called Victorian Ruby (rav link) and can be found in Victorian Lace Today. It's a fantastic book, and I'm really enjoying kitting this piece. I'm almost finished the first section!



I finally finished off a piece that's been hanging around for about a month. I knit this neckwarmer on a wim for my friend Rin when I was home visiting last month, and was waiting on buttons. I ended up ordering them from Prisma on Etsy. The buttons are awesome, and I'm mailing out the scarf next week.




There's more sad news on the socks. This is the second pattern I've tried with this yarn, and I've had to frog them again. It's just so disappointing. The yarn has absolutely NO give, and so if I'm off even slightly, I can't get them over my foot. I am so frustrated. This yarn did not want to be Jaywalker *sigh* I'll finish the lace piece above, then I might try a different pattern. Ugh.

It's brand new, a duplicate gift my Mum bought me from J-XYZ a couple of years back (it sat in a cupboard until I remembered it!) They don't have it on their site anymore and I've not seen it onsale online for ages...

OMG the office is a GHOST TOWN today as it was the investment banking dept's big golf tournament today.

I don't really have anything to post about but I am SO GODDAMN BORED.

I will HOPEFULLY have really exciting news to talk about on Friday night but do not want to presume/jinx things LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[big brother 10] Anyone else watch this? I don't think I've been more involved with the show than this summer. The After Dark show, when I first watched it, made it a lot more real than what you usually see in the regular episodes (not to mention a million times more interesting). It's best when Dan, Keesha, Renny, and Memphis are seen chattin' away and playing games and whatnot; but it's crap when you see Ollie, Michelle, and Jerry complaining about how "unfair" they have it, swearing left and right, and so on.

I was a little pissed tonight when all they did was concentrate on the sore loser trio, and give the people I care about barely any time to breathe. I find it much more enjoyable listening to, say, Keesha talking about her Japanese aunt, than Michelle blubbering over how there's no wine to drink. >_>;; So that's why I'm back at my computer typing this up.

[fan expo] Didn't make it out to Fan Expo this year (no surprise there). Not like it makes much of a difference. The only thing I would've gone for would've been Kikiwai's Japanese manga deal of $3 per book, and maybe perusing the artist alley. But other than that, the rest of the con'd be one big BLAH.

But to make up for it, I went out today and bought more than I planned to! *haha* The one thing that I really wanted to get, the first issue of Yen Plus, I finally got at Chapters. They had a whole bunch of copies at one end of the magazine stands. So I snagged a nice lookin' copy and scurried off to the graphic novels, heh. XD My mom saw the second issue somewhere else and bought that for herself (I got her hooked ^^).

The manga I picked up: Tsubasa 17 & 18, Negima 17 & 18, Fruits Basket 20, and Vampire Knight 2. Now I can finally catch up with Tsubasa and see what ×××Holic referred to in volume 11. All that manga should keep me somewhat busy 'til school hits two weeks from now. ^__^ At HMV, although I wasn't really looking for it, I got Utada Hikaru's latest album "Heart Station", and the first box set of Busou Renkin (love that show!).

You may think I'm crazy, but I'm really looking forward to school! Hah! XD

So, I was practicing playing some Dr. Horrible songs on my guitar yesterday when I set it on top of a mound of some moving boxes to do something else. I was planning on taking my first guitar to D*C to play since it was old and I figured I wouldn't lose too much if anything happened to it on the flight. No sooner than I plop on to the bed though that I hear this horrible crashing sound and see my guitar on the floor, split and cracked in all sorts of ways.

I honestly had no idea I would feel as depressed as I did. The sense of loss that hit me after that felt like a punch to the stomach, and the rest of the day was pretty much spent with me emoing and cradling my guitar. I'm also pretty sure that if I hadn't invested as much money into D*C as I have, I probably wouldn't be going this weekend.

Oh well, here's to hoping this isn't an omen of things to come.
